Our Levels Are Being Updated

We’re currently reviewing and improving our swim levels and class structure.

The information below is a general guide only. For accurate placement, please submit an enquiry and our team will assist you.

🦦 Otters (Approx. 3–10 months)

Parent & Baby | Focus: Comfort & Bonding The perfect start for your baby’s lifelong relationship with water.

● Learn safe holds and smooth transitions
● Build trust through gentle cues
● Enjoy songs and sensory play with other families
● Develop early water confidence before fears can form

Outcome: Bonding time that also builds vital safety skills

🐢 Turtles (Approx. 10–24 months)

Parent & Baby | Focus: Supported Exploration For babies eager to explore and move in the water.

● Respond to cues with confidence
● Begin supported independent movement
● Join in songs that encourage active play
● Develop comfort in group settings
● Introduction to equipment (noodles/boards)
● Mat Play

Outcome: Builds the foundation for independence so later transitions are easier

🌊 Jellyfish (18 months–2.5 years)

For toddlers ready to start swimming without you ‍‍ Parent starts in the water - we gently transition to solo lessons over 10 weeks. Parent-to-Child Transition | Max 3 per class

● Weeks 1–4: Parent in water
● Weeks 5–6: Transition phase
● Weeks 7–10: Independent swimming Skills gained:
● Responding to instructor cues without parent help
● Floating and swimming with support
● Returning to wall or instructor for reassurance
● Building trust through routines and songs

Why it works: We remove fear by moving at the child’s pace, not the clock

🐠 Seahorse (2 years or ability-based)

For kids ready to swim with an instructor Parent Out of Water | Max 4 per class The start of true water independence.

● Face in, blowing bubbles
● Safe water entry and exit
● Supported back float
● Introduction to Goggles
● Kicking on front and back
● Paddle arms with aids
● Pool safety rules
● Assisted Humpty Dumpty

Outcome: Your child gains the safety basics to enjoy water with confidence

Starfish (Ability-Based)

Max 4 per class | Independent Movement Building strength, control, and confidence.


● Streamline rocket position
● Independent Humpty Dumpty jump ● Paddle arms (1–2m) face in
● Minimal-assist kicking Front and back
● Unassisted back float (5–10 sec)
● Rolling front to back and back to front with support
● Rolling off mat and paddling back to wall

Why this matters: The point where kids start to feel “I can do this on my own"

🐙 Octopus (Ability-Based) For kids linking skills together

Max 4 per class | Coordination Skills Linking skills into smooth swimming.

● Streamline to instructor (3m+)
● Kicking front (head down) full length
● Back Kick with board full length
● Freestyle arms (no aids)
● Swimming across pool (assisted or unassisted)
● Streamline to back float then return to wall

Why This Matters: This is where our swimmers start looking like swimmers, not just splashers

🐟 Stingrays (Ability-Based)

Max 4 per class | Stroke Development & Endurance Turning confidence into capability For students ready to learn freestyle and backstroke.

● Introduction to Bilateral breathing drills

● Freestyle with side breathing ● Introduction Backstroke technique

● Swimming 4 laps of Freestyle without assistance

● Swimming 4 laps of Backstroke without assistance ● Introduction to Frog kick on back with board

● Focus on technique, safety, independence

Outcome: Preparation to join squads with more length and depth
